We aim to keep our prices as low as possible by not spending large amounts on expensive brochures and advertisng. Most of our students come through recommendations and chances are that you too heard about our centre through somebody else.
There is no registration fee and there are no charges for the loan of text books; the only books you may have to buy are the class course books.
We recommend that students buy a bus pass for unlimited local travel. This can also be used for transport to school, which is just outside Torquay. We pick students up from the bus stop free of charge. (further info when you book)
Fees for intensive English courses:
School fees per week : £159 ( July & August + £10 )
For stays of 6 weeks or longer : £144 ( July & August + £10 )
Host family accommodation from £105 per week
Private lessons : £30 per hour
We are open all year round - apart from public holidays (see below) - but at quiet times of the year if there are not enough students at your level to form a group, we offer 3 mornings of 1:1 tuition (= 12 hours of private tuition) for the same price as a week's class tuition ( 20 hours).
Fees are not returnable after two weeks before commencement of course. If you are taking an examination, the examination week must be paid for.
Any days you do not attend during your course must be paid for.
Holidays:
There are not many public holidays - also known as national or bank holidays - in the UK but in 2012 we have one extra day for the Queen's Diamond Jubilee. We are closed on: New Year's Day Holiday 2nd January, Good Friday 6th April, Easter Monday 9th April, May Bank Holiday 7th May, Spring Bank Holiday 4th June, Diamond Jubilee Holiday 5th June, Summer Bank holiday 27th August, Christmas Day 25th December and Boxing Day 26th December.
Special arrangements may be made for any student wishing to have tuition during these holidays.
